Christmas Wishes Stocking

Good morning!!!! Saw this Sketch from Cupcake Design Sketch and thought why not give this a whirl!!! I use to make fabric country dolls and this little girl so reminded me of them!!! I used my cuddlebug to give a little dimension (Fiskars). I just love that you can use different company's embossing plates with the little guy!!!! Used Doodlecharms and Storybook Cartridge. Made my sentiment using word again (Oh I just love being able to do this) And now I am trying out making a post with Word!! Hope this works because I just love this new font!!!!

Snowflakes Are Falling...

I made this card following a post on Cricut Message Boards.  A great group of Ladies over there!!!!
When I started this I thought doesn't look to tricky, well that was before my mind started working!

Size: 5x7
(I need to work a little larger not good at small pieces yet)

I used lots of pop dots for dimension on this!!  Stickled and put pearls on the little snowflakes that I layered about 5 times.

Ribbon is from my huge stash I have!!!

I used Wild Card for the Argyle layered over DCWV paper I had from last year cut at 5x7.

The snow flakes are from the Winter Woodland cart cut at 1 1/2 about 5 times.

Used George Basic Shapes to cut the Diamonds and ran thru my cuddlebug with swiss dot folder inked with white, powdery blue and silver ink. ( I had to use ds to get diamonds the right size)

Did use a silver gel pen to define the diamonds also.

I really enjoyed this card and am a little proud because I learned so many new things while making it.

* A special thank you to Custom Crops for posting how to make words in the shape of a circle.  I was able to make my own little circle sentiment using their instructions.

Christmas Side- step Card

I was on the Christmas with the Cricut site and browsing thru the cards.  I saw a version with instructions on a side step card.  A little different than a regular flat card.  So here is an attempt of mine of this card.  I used Christmas Cheer, Doodlecharm, StoryBook,  and a stamp from Hampton Arts.  I will be making more of these.

Trying to get Christmas Cards going.  I hopped on over to Christmas with the Cricut site to get a little inspiration!!  Melanie did this card up on week nine and I really thought it was elegant!!!  Mine is not exactly the same but sure used most of her design.  I hope someday that I get as good so I don't have to always use layout pages and others work to make my cards.  but until then I hope all you great creators out there don't mind giving me that little push!!!

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad

Well its Mom and Dad's 58th Anniversary on Oct 13.  I bet you they are thinking how the times fly.  I know my parents are a great example of what a marriage should be like.  I know they set a perfect example for my husband and myself over the course of our 35 year marriage.  I saw a card on the Cricut Card Board and thought of them.  So I used once again most of that persons ideas and tweeked and changed a few things and came up with this!!!!  Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Well starting to think about some winter cards!!!  I was looking at Okies challanges last week and there was a snowman card made with snowflakes.  I had gotten the Winter Woodland Cartridge and thought one of the snowflakes would make a cute base for a little snowbuddy so Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr came to life!   Please let me know what you think!

Masculine Birthday Card / Cricut Sport Mania

Well I avoid making cards for men!!!!!  Not that there aren't any in my life.  lol   Their is a group of couples we spend time with golfing thru most of the summer.  One on the husbands is celebrating a birthday and this is what I came up with for him.  I of course used my cricut.  Fiddled around on Design Studio to make it work!!  Wonderful program.  This is what I came up with!!!!

Golf Chair Thankyou card

Well the golf season came down to a close.  Well at least the organized part on Weds.  I needed to make a thankyou card for our Chairman who has done so much for the league.  I totally scrap-lifted this one and I cant for the life of me find the creator to give her credit for such an inspiring card for the Fall well here it is!!
