~~Peppi La Pue~~ Thanks You

I have been having so much fun with the Create A Critter cartridge I can't seem to put it down!!!  On this one I decided to try using perfect pearls on a cuddlebug embossed piece of paper!!!  I also used a new punch ( well new to me anyway) of Martha Stewart's.  I used pattern paper to make Peppi stand out more!!!  The little flowers are left over cuts from something else I cut out a long time ago.

Now I thought I would throw in the little Piggy card I did up also!!!

I made her using up scraps!!!!  This card is delightful to use!!!!!

Using watercolors with cricut

Well I saw another card on a blog cant remember which forgot to jot it down.  The design was totally scrap-lifted but figured I could use the flowers from Sweet treats as bases using watercolor paper.  I did this on the blossom and took out a 01 micro pen and doodled on the flowers and pens and then cut out the stems . Though the buttons were a nice touch so i used that and used some ink on a piece of the watercolor paper for the sentiment which is a velum sticker from K & Company's card quotables.  now if you look real close you can see my mistake on this card (background is upside down DRATS!!)  I will have to make another I guess!!  Thanks for looking

~MOM & DAD"s altered frame~

I took this pic of my mom and dad for the newspaper announcement of their 50th anniversary!!  I had them both belly laughing by the end of picture taking because I couldn't get them to smile at the same time!!!  My dad passed away right after the new years and this is by far one of the best pics of him and exactly how I want to remember him!!!  I bought this wooden frame at M's and decided to alter it with Folkart's metallic and glitter paint.  Used Tim Holtz ink to stamp the swirls over top .  The butterflies and the swirls are metal findings and I put some bling in the middle of the swirls!!  Dad's favorite color  was blue so I used some blue ans well as green prima's to decorate with!!  Mom, who is living with me now,  like this so much that she keeps it beside her bed. Now I have to make another one for myself!  I never make any two things the same!!!

Bling and Lollipop Flowers*****

It has been sooooooooooo cold the last couple of days!!!  I needed some warm colors mixed in with the cool ones!!!  I bought some satin and decided to try my hand at some flowers I saw made on utube.  Used cuts from Gypsy Wanderings for the scallops and the butterfly!!!   The layout resembles a card I saw on scrapbook.com.  The reflection bling was on sale at M's last week for 49 cents. I finally opened the glitter stock Spring collections from DCWV from last year I have stacks and stacks of paper I haven't even touched.  I promised myself that I would use some of this paper up!!!  Well I needed some birthday cards in my stash!!

Marion's mini class

I have been following Marion from a piece of crafts on ustream live on Tuesdays and Thursday's with Prima Marketing.  She broadcast live and gives so many tips and techniques to use in paper-craft!!!  Last tuesday she made a small mini book.  I made mine about an inch larger since I still am not comfortable with small. I used my distress inks and made my own glitter mist in the colors I needed and stamped and used distress stickles. Like utube it is easier to follow when I see for myself a different technique or direction to make something.  Just thought I would share this.  I know this is different from my regular cutesy designs but I love this look also!!!  great way to  use up scraps don't you think.

Alligator Critter

One more for today!!  I have been enjoying using up scraps of paper and adding embellishments to this cuts from this carts.  The card background is from a box of cards I got ages ago at M's on clearance from K & Company.  The background seemed to be a perfect fit for this little alligator.  I found a package of rub-ons that i purchased at Big Lots for a dollar for the sentiment and put that on a left over center from a scallop frame i made for another card!!!  Just playing today and this will be perfect to send a birthday wish for my cousin with a letter on the inside. I love the simplicity of this cart!!!

Really Loving the new Create a Critter

Oh this cart is so fun to work with!!!  I opened up my Design Studio and gave a shape card a whirl!!!!  I thought I would try another boy card (of course it was for a young boy)  and chose a Birthday theme!!  Rummaged thru the stamps I have seemed to accumulate (along with the thousands of other embellishment and do dads that I just might use on a card some day).  I liked this so well I even saved all my work so I could make it again!!!
a little peek at the inside!!!

~~Create a Critter~~ tryout

I ordered this cart from Memory Miser on Thursday and received it yesterday morning and just had to play a little because the critters are so darn cute!!!! I cut the puppy with out the fireman hat and just chalked him up a little to give some added dimension.  Of course he had to have a touch of bling!!!  I am so looking forward to using this cart to try and make some quick little note card sets!!!

*Wait Not till Tommorrow*

I skipped the second sketch till planning a masculine card but I don't have my mind wrapped around it yet.  I wanted to use the same paper as the first sketch trying to keep scraps down to a low roar.(fat chance I know).  And a masculine card wouldn't be in this paper.  The only cricut on this is the scalloped frame I used from Lyrical Letter font cartridge.  Thanks for Looking... What do you think???

*friends*

Easter is over and spring is finally here!  My granddaughter found a lady bug upstairs in our house and that was what inspired me to use the ladybug in Raq's sketch challenge this week 4-7 thru 4-13.  This one of the first sketch.  Used Doodlebug and Walk in my garden for the ladybug cuts.  The sentiment is from the little dollar stamps you get at M's.  Paper I used is from DCVW Flower Shower spring stack(which I love).  The flower bling also from M's dollar section.  I used my martha stewarts markers to color up the I thats a flower. On to the next sketch!!!!

A page of Dom

Took some pictures of my grand-kids this week that I thought I had better get them into a layout while the design was rambling around in my head!!  This is the newest addition to our crew!!!  First grandson!!!  He is such a happy little guy and smiling most of the time.  A photographers dream!!!  A grandmothers treasure!!!!  I have lots more to do but this is why I originally bought my cricut and have gotten away from scrap booking and took up making cards!!!  I have tons of photo's that need done and should be doing a few each week so I don't forget when and what happened when I took the pictures!!  I have a great printer that does store bought printing quality so I have no excuses except procrastination!!!  Still have the journaling to do but I can move on to a few more!!
