Happy Anniversay to the Dave in daveshunny!!!

Well. I have to say that the last 36years of my life have been simply wonderful!!!  I married one of the most loving and supportive men on the face of the earth!!  Not one day in the last 36 years have I ever regretted my decision to marry this man!!!  He has been so encouraging not only by gifting me with many of the things I have to make my cards and scrap projects but by encouraging me to stay with it!  He is like that in so many ways!  So I made his card using my newest gift from him (My Cricut Imagine).  I used the Yummy cartridge as well as Lovestruck (printed one of the hearts and flood filled with matching digital color and the other heart with one of the papers on Yummy) The Imagine of the couple dancing reminds me of us dancing through life (sorry kind of mushy but that is the way i see our life together)  and I added the years (don Juan) we have been together and the key to tell him he holds the key to my heart!!!  Don't look to closely at the border punching I used I haven't quite gotten the hang of it but after many attempts at perfection i settled for the last one i punched!!   Added some pearls and then used pearl puff paint also !!  The sentiment is stamped and heat embossed!!  (really need to work on this also)!!  I will write a special note inside but wanted to share the artwork i did with his card with all of you!!!  Thanks for looking and sharing with me in celebrating the best 36years a women could have!!!

I really was sitting down to work on a card from the sketch from Santa's Slackers and was looking at the paper and the image I printed out of the cute little girls waiting for Santa to come down the chimney when this card started to develop in my head!!  I see so many beautiful cards with gorgeous snowflakes on them and decided to give them a whirl!!!  I cut the snowflakes at two inches from Christmas cart that I got free with my gypsy!!!  layered them and then used my ran the top layer through the xryon to get a even coat of adhesive before putting on the Martha Stewart crystal glitter.  Wow does that make them sparkle!!!  And what is a vintage card with out Tim Holtz and a couple buttons!!!  This card has quite a few layers on it!  I tried not to make it look so busy like the thoughts that were going through my mind!!!  I hope I was able to  capture the whimsy of Christmas through a child's eyes!!!  I think this is one of my favorite cards I have made for the season!!  Thanks for visiting and hope you too capture the magic of Christmas through card making!!!

Vintage Sunday

You ever get up one morning and want to try something different!!!  Well this am was one of those mornings for me!!  I decided to try out a vintage card!!  Well most of my supplies are not vintage even though I love looking at them they aren't a safe zone for me!!!  I went on the web and found a site called Graphics Fairy.  What a wonderful site!!!  I spent a couples of hours just looking at all the lovely art work on there and saving things to my computer!!!  Well then I decided to see how they printed out!!!  Well that went real well.  Sometimes when I do that the image doesn't come out real clear but I think these did!!!  I know that my card isn't as elaborate as alot of others but I was somewhat pleased!!!  I have to say this did go together rather quickly and would be easy to duplicate many times in a reasonable amount of time. Quick and easy that is what I like but sometimes I sit down and spend a day on one card fusing and tearing up and starting over!!  This one did take some postional changes (many times) before i liked the way it looked! Thanks for looking!!!

Singing Christmas Carolers

I made another quick little A2 size card doing basically the same thing I did on my other!!  The only difference is I made my own musical note paper!!  Now mind you the music doesn't hold a tune because I just kept hitting the keys on the keyboard to get notes across the paper and picked green for a color and printed it out on some parchment looking cardstock!!  I couldn't find music paper in my stash!!  I know its in there somewhere but I really need to organize!!!!  Well there is always tommorrow!!!

**Playing in the Snow***

Well I decided to play a little more with the imagine and work with the flood fill from the digital papers in Snow Angel Cart!!  I think the cuts on Winter Frolic are so cute!!!  I cut the Children at 3.7 inches and the Snowman at 3.0 on my imagine.  Now I wished that you didn't have to put the size in on each layer when you are choosing the color or paper to get it to come out the right size to layer but it is worth the added work!!!  I do  love how it sizes the digital paper to the size of the cut you are using though!!!!  I cant wait till you can do this with your gypsy.  I loaded Winter Frolic in the machine and the snow angel in the right to get it right!!!  I bought the mat stack from Michaels' (Martha Stewarts Holidays).  These are so cute!!! And of course I used the snow flake embossing folder from cuddlebug on my hand cut snow hill.  I haven't used them much bu i put drops of tulip puffy paint glitter (white) on the backgroundhere and there!!  Doesn't show up well in the picture but I think I like them!!  I always have to add a little inking here and there and use some chalks for the cheeks!!  Well I liked the way it turned out !!!  Sure saved me having to rummage thru all the paper I have!!!
Thanks for looking and sharing in my learning quest with my new "Imagine"  (Imagene)!!!

***Happy Birthday Birdie***

I have so been wanting to make some birthday cards to put in my stash!!!  I think the cuts on Birthday Bash are just the cutest!!  Right up there with Create a Critter and Simply Charmed!!!  So i decided as I was leafing thru the manual to try one using the pendent cut with the birdie!!!  Isn't she just the cutest!!! Maybe next time I will put something on the pendants Letters of some sort???

Cartridges used:  Birthday Bash  pg 39 in manual

Used the card/tag feature for the base of the card sizing it to the size I wanted with my gypsy. (10.00x6.25)
Used the Banner cut  Layered at 3.35  for all the banner cuts except for the undersides of the pendents which I cut from the font on page 61 of the manual to fancy up the pendant rope!!  I also made some paper that i cut one of the layers out with on my imagine and cut out the layer with my expression.

I used a Martha Stewart punch, buttons from my stash Tim Holtz frayed burlap for the inking I did  and i tied the buttons with bows from some braiding cord I got at Walmart!!!
Think it turned out all right for a generic birthday card for anyone of any age don't you!!!

The present is made with a sizzix die cut that I got on clearance at M's for $1.49.  came in handy!!!!!!  I think I still have enough scraps to make a girl one now too!!!!  I seem to use so much polka dots don't I which make the different embossing folders work so well to give texture to your cards!!!  Thanks for looking and remember USE THOSE SCRAPS don't throw them away!!

Scraplift from "obbsessed with scrapbooking"""

I don't know about anyone else but I rely heavily on others that have use or tried something new to inspire or teach me how to do something!!!  And since the Imagine is new to me I have scoured the blogs and internet seeing what others have done with their Imagines.  Joy from Obsessed with scrapbooking :http://www.obsessedwithscrapbooking.com/search/label/Projects%20-%20Imagine  Made this wonderful card that she used the Imagine More cartridge that comes with your Imagine.  I so loved it that I followed along and made one also.  Of course I didn't have the exact same papers ribbons etc.  But I rooted thru my stash and found things close enough since I loved the look of the card.  Well here it is!!!  I hope that she isn't upset that I scrap-lifted her creation!!!

PS  I used some reflection swirled diamond  bling that  I tinted with Adirondack latte ink to get it the right color for the card.  Now I can get the bling to match up with my colors I am using!!!!
Here is Joys what do you  think!!!!  Thanks so much Joy you are truely an inspiration!!!!!

Yes!!! My Imagine did a wonderful job on Mickey!!!!!!

Yes!!!  My Imagine did a wonderful job on Mickey!!!!!!  If you look at the two different cuts side by side you can see how wonderful the imagine colors your white paper for Mickey!!!!  No inking involved except for a little chalking on the cheeks!!!  I did ink up my birthday cake though!!!  I always have such a hard time finding just the right shades to make the different Disney characters but I found the RBG codes for Disney.

RBG Codes to Use with your Imagine:  just click on this and scroll down on your right and you have a few charts to use to get the right colors to print on your imagine.

I made this up for one of my sons twin's birthday card!!!  I have another to make!!!  I also used Birthday Bash to make the cake up and used my expression with different papers.  The candle flames were stickled to give them a flicker look!!!  Thanks for taking a look!!!   Any questions leave a comment and I will get back to you!!!!

Jitterbuggin "Wise Guys"

When I saw that we were doing Owls in this challenge it gave me the perfect opportunity to drag out my Cricut Lite Hoot n Holler.  I have been working on my xmas cards and thought ok I am going to give this a whirl.  Guidelines for this challenge was you had to use a circle and a square but the sketch was optional.  I know that owls are not usually green but hey he is a Christmas owl!!!  I added a little stickles to my background paper to make the lights sparkle like they were on and stickled then put glossy accents on the ornament hanging on the tree.  I used my gypsy to layout and size my cuts and added some of those cute little googly eyes on the little guy!!  Go on over to Jitterbuggin and try her challenges!  I know they have inspired me as they will inspire you!!!http://jitterbugginchallenge.blogspot.com/

Another Xmas card with Snow Angel IMAGINE cart

This is another easel card I made wanting to try some different cuts and practice the sizing on the imagine.  I used two different cuts from the same cart and took part of something and sized it to fit the easel card!!!  Decided to try a winter home scene for this one!!!  What do you all think?????

Slackers Merry Little Christmas~~Imagine~~

I really want to get more comfortable with my new imagine and thought that a easel card would do the trick!!!  I was on travel with my hubby and picked up the snow angel cart this last weekend and so love the images on this cartridge!!!  I used the layers and picked and chose what i thought looked like a snow scene!!!  Took some time getting the size down and cant wait for the download to correct a few of the features like cutting the layers to match the size!!!! grrrrr  I have to say that the intricate cuts do better on the imagine than the expression.  Maybe its the mat I don't know.  I bought the sentiment in a dollar bin last year at AC Moores and it seemed to fit the scene.  I can see many different cards that can be made from this cart and also using alot of the paper it can print with other cartridges I have!!!  Pop dots really help with the dimensions and inking seems to also!!!  More Imagine to come I guess!!!  Thanks for stopping by ....
