Using up the scraps~~~

Well woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't sleep so I decided to make a few quick cards.  I watched the U stream class of Prima Marketing on Thursday night and was amazed at the cards these two ladies made in such a short amount of time!!!  You can visit the site and find the link to the U stream class at www.LollyChops.com.  Now my cards dont look  like the ones she made but i used the same layout and some of the techniques from the show.  I used different papers and embellishments from my scraps, basically LEFTOVERS!!!!  Here they are.
I made my own Lollipop flower by using some satin I had that just happened to match the paper!!!
The ruffling on the bottom is made from paper but looks like ribbon.... doesn't it???
Just a button and some satin leaves from a embellishment pack i used the flowers and not the leaves.  I knotted some twine and wrapped it for some more textures as well as embossed the bottom with the swiss dots embossing folder one of my favorites.
This is a great way to use up paper that we never part with that keeps growing and growing in our stash!!!  I need to do this more often but not in the wee hours of the morning when I wish I could be sleeping!!!  Thanks for looking !!

Country Mouse

One of the only time I am not afraid of mice is when they are made out of paper!!!  But….  this little guy from Four Legged Friends caught my eye and I used this with sketch 3 from last weeks Raq’s challenge on the Cricut Message Board it all came together!!I   I made the banner using Country Life  cut at 1 1/8 with some color jute string I found and Walmart.  My little mouse was cut at 31/2 inches and chalked up using Pebble Inc. chalks for  dimension.

thinking of you 001

My papers were chosen for a whimsical look to the card to cheer an individual up who is going through some tough times right now and will be one of many that I want to make for this person so you can expect to see more on this line of card!!  Thanks for stopping by an visiting I really enjoy when you stop and please drop a line and let me know you were here!!!!!

get WHALE soon

I haven’t posted in so long and I really miss creating!!!  Hopefully things will calm down enough to do one of the things I love to do the most

Get Whale Soon 002

I don’t know which is harder for me masculine cards or masculine get well cards!!!  I needed a quick card to send and decided to use my imagine to match up some papers and colors I had in mind. Since my basic layout was pretty plain I used some embossing folders and martha stewart punch to give a little texture and depth to the layout of this card!!!  The whale is from Imagine More Cards cartridge for the imagine cut at 3.3. I placed the whale on the card using a self made wobble.

Watching this video was wonderful

In the background paper I used some Glossy accents to glue down the little dew drops to make it look more like air bubbles under the sea.

Thanks for looking and I hope you stop again to follow along with my latest adventures in card making.

A Little Bit different for me...

I usually dont make card from cutting out pre printed things but I love the note cards in the $1 min at Michaels!!!  I built the card around it and used the sketch from Raq's Challenge on the cricut messageboards this week!!! (Sketch3)  I did quite a bit of embossing for textrue and some trinkets and velium punced flower and butterflies to finish it off!!!  This is a A2 card size which I usually go to a bigger size because I struggle with sizing to get everything I want on a card!!!  I think I need a photography class to take my pics because the color in this picture doesn't do the card justice!!!  I appreciate all the comments you all make and love reading what you think so please let me know what you think!!!!!

A touch of Irish

I usually don't make St Patricks day cards!!!  But with all the green out there i thought I would give one a shot for the jitterbuggin challenge of rainbows!!!  I used Simply charmed!!!!  and cut the leprechaun 2 (at 3.5) and the pot of gold at 2.75.  I followed the second sketch from Raq's challenge on the Cricut messageboards as the layout of my card!!!  Oh and the leprechaun wobbles!!!!!!!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!!  I love when you all leave me a comment to let me know what you think so go ahead take your best shot!!!!
