Hoppin on a Fence

I am sure enjoying using the Just Because cartridge!!!  I made this Easter card using the chick cut from this cart!!!!  I had some paper that i used as my base and incorporated the pattern with cuts from paisley and the fence from my community.  TOO MUCH FUN!!!!  Thanks for Looking!!!  So I guess this piece of paper was my inspiration for the whole card.

Second just becau post

Still playing with the cart.  This is card 2.  Used my own sentiment stamp added a prima with a brad and a couple buttons to spruce it up!  I had some little red fiskar embellishments I thought added to the tree that makes it look like green and red apples don't you think???  I think I am going to love this cart!!!  Did change up the layer in back of tree cut twice and cut in half to give a sky and grass look.

~NEW~ Just Because Cartridge

I so love getting ~NEW~ cartridges!!!  I couldn't wait to try one out!!!  This cartridge puts together some great cards without to much thought on design!!  Of course paper choice is still a big challenge!!  I used some scraps to make this and used design studio to place it on the mat all at once with the different papers.  I am finding I like to work with the smoother papers instead of texture so I can put the texture I want!!  Much easier to ink!!!  Funny the colors seem to me so much brighter on the white core paper and the cuts are alot touchier to do!!!  I cut the scallop from the bottom of the paper with a few strips of left over paper and added some bling to that and the little bow on the creamcicle. Yummy orange!!!  I did doodle on the sentiment to make it pop a little, I think it worked!!!  Off to see what else I can make!!  I think a little bag of these simple cards for all occasions would make a nice gift!!!!TFL

Smile BEE Happy

I have been using the layouts from Raq's Sketch Challange on the card forum in Circut Message Boards lately and they have really seemed to help me visualize cards!!!  This is from Sketch 2 of this weeks challenge and I once again tackled that mean old sewing machine to give my card a finished look!!!  I also used some scraps from a layout I did to put pictures in for my granddaughter is I can ever decide which photo's to use.
Thanks for Looking.  I always enjoy what people have to say!  So PLEASE leave a comment!!!

Maybe an Easter Card

I decided to try and learn how to use my mothers sewing machine she gave me since it was an embroidery machine, but after discovering that I will have to spend many hours learning how to program the darn thing (even for a straight or zig zag stitch) I am having second thoughts!!!  It did zig zag nice but the straight stitch really needs work!!!  This little old card has been inked, stitched, stamped, and cuddled.

Another card done Today!!!

I got this paper K & Company on clearance at Jo Anne Fabrics and it seemed so right for this sketch I worked from.  And yes I bought another cart because I loved the vintage cuts from Sentiments!!!  The butterfly was fun to spruce up with flocking and pearls  an some glass beads from jewelry making craze!!  And doesn't the paper look like lace!!!  (Also used some lace that I have had for years leftover from doll making years!!!  And for something new i strung a couple of gold butterfly's on the card,  I think next time I will drag out my sewing machine and do real stitching instead of using my trusty micron pen.  This was practice for a mini book I have been wanting to try for quite some time.

Peeps Easter Greetings

I thought I would try my hand at flocking the peeps.  I have never used this medium before and wanted it to go on evenly so I ran the peeps( cut from stretch your imagination) thru the Xryon machine and then pressed the peeps into the flocking (HanptonArt sprinkle flocking set).  It is hard to tell but there is a sparkle to the little cuties.  I used my gypsy to weld the eggs together to make the card base.  I thought I would try making a circle window for the sentiment!! Might try another with a peep peeking out!!!  These little peeps remind me of the marshmallow ones I so love at this time of the year!!!!!  Thanks for looking!!!  Love to read your comments!!!

~~~cutesy Easter Egg Card~~~
I decided to use my Make The Cut program to see how it worked with my expression.  Other than it cut slow ( took a long time to make the cuts)  I think the card turned out ok!!! I have been going thru some old drawers and boxes and came across this bunny and little sign that I had gotten before I got my expression!!!  They seem to have found a home on the egg card that I downloaded from the files people have shared on the site!!!  I wish I had a name to give the person who shared this file but I thank her because I haven't learned how to use inkscape yet to make my own files.  I think i will try my hand at using DS to make the little bunny!!  Funny I feel like I am cheating when I use pre- made things anymore!!!!
Newst sketch challangeCard
Well finally I got to get back in my room and make a quick card!!!  Easter is right around the corner and not one card made to send to family!!!  I used the sketch from the card forum "Raq a weekly challenge"  to do the layout of this card!!!  I love the bunny from the Winter Woodland cartridge and used that cut at 3" layered and inked with Tim Holtz distress inks!!!(pop Dotted of course)  I mixed a prima with a K&Company flower embellishment  and embossed the bottom of the card with the Textile Cuddlebug folder.Its a start to the card list and one I enjoyed making!!!
