A Valentiny Valentine******

Fantabulous Cricut weekly Monday Challenge was really quite a challenge for me!!! I am not use to working quite this small and I wanted my tiny to have a romantic feel to it.  What is more romantic then cupid????  I went to an older cartridge "Sweethearts"  for my cuts.  I welded the hearts together to make my 3 inch card base and then cut and sewed some bakers twin in and out of the holes arond the heart.  Of course i used the cupid cut twice to fit , One on shadow and one at regular cut. (Ithink at 1.75 in)  the flowers I made my self and aded some bows and stamped sentiments on little banners.

I have been using my imagine to do my sentiments inside of my cards lately and I am loving how they turn out.  I printed out the word valentine as a shadow and went inside with a white gel pen to write the word valentine....

All In all I had a FABULOUS time working on these tiny valentines!!!  Hope you all  go take a visit to Fabulous Cricut and become a follower they have something new everyday and the site is full of inspriation!!!

Lori's Garden dusted off my shelf....

Well I finally dusted off the Lori's Garden Imagine cartridge and put it to some use.  I wanted to make a card for the Die Cuttin Diva's challenge this week which was Button Bows or Bling.  I have been working on valentines the last week and this is one that when I started laying it out and deciding which cuts to use started looking like an old fashion vicotorian card.  The colors, prints and cuts are simply beautiful on this cart and I had so much fun putting this one together.  I cut in layers and popdoted and put some pearls on for my bling.  The paper is from the paper choices on the cart.  REally helped the card go together!!!  I know I will be reaching for this cart when I want to do something delicate and light.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!!!

Go visit  Die Cuttin Divas And Check out everyones great work and be Inspired!!!!!

I am also entering this in Fantabulous Cricut. It falls under using a label, something other than a circle.  If you look thru your imagine cartridges it has many different labels and so hard to choose which ones to use.   http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com/2012/01/challenge-me-monday-95.html

All About Boys....

My Craft Spot Challenge 42 is encouraging us this week to make a card for a boy!!!  I too have a harder time making cards for guys and boys, you know masculine cards.  As usual Kimberly's challenge encourage me to focus on a boy card!!!  I used My imagine with this card to do alot of the work but the background paper is from an older 8x8 paper pad Put out by Cinnamon Joe studio. A pack of paper that I picked up at our Ollies store here in Johnsotwn.  I chose some papers and colors from the Enjoy the Seasonscartridge for the imagine and the cuts were from Boys will Be Boys.  The think I did learn was how to put a text box in and use the fonts from the cartridge to put my sentiment on the card.  I used the craft room to place the fonts where I wanted them on my card front.  Made this so much easier and a clean font to boot!!!
Some inking and doodling and popdotting and twine and buttons to emblelish my cuts.  I loved the colors on this one and the imagine were a big help in making this card.  I encourage other to go to My Craft Spot and check out the wonderful projects that other are submitting as well to catch a glimpse  of Kimberly's wonderful talent and products

Smiles & Hugs

I dont very often make envelops but this card is a size that I don't have an envelop for.  I used one of my favorite cartridge to make the little skunk up with .  Isn't he stinkin cute!!!  LOL  The think I learned when I was making this cart was how you are able to size the envelops ( I got this one from Art Philosophy)  to the size you need.  The other thing was that you have to use your gypsy if you want to remove the slash marks for the score lines.  I was pretty pleased with the paper which i purchased from target for the envelop.  It is thin enought to make a great envelop and white on one side and printed on the other!!!    oh and I guess I will show you the card I scraplifted that contributed to this card....

I totally scraplifted this one from Two Peas Finally Friday.  You can watch the videio on how this is made at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYabYOVC5Vw

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my learning examples and please say hi if you stop and look and tell me what you think.  I love hearing from all of you!!!

A tag that turned into a card....

Well one of the things I have been trying to do is use some of my cartridges that have been collecting dust and the boxes are aging and showing signs of it but not from use.  On this card I used the Tags Bags Boxes &More.  I started this off with just making a tag.  I really didn't think I would be turning it into a card but that is what I ended up doing!!!  The tag and hearts came from cuts on my cricut .  Now of course i decided to try a little stamping and used craft paper as my base and some dye ink pads and stamps.  And I am sure there are others out there that buy things and then hoard them and never use them ....  well i actually broke into my Tim Holtz stash and use some on this card.

Has anyone found that M's paper in 8x8 size... well I did and its not to bad and perfect for valentines day.

I guess you could call this my junk card since i used so many different elements but I choose to think of it as my shabby chic valentine !!!!!

As always thanks for stopping by and taking a look , your comments are always so appreciated!!!

**Snowman** Birthday???

I guess when I make a birthday card I don't think of snow.  But I guess a cute little snowman would be OK to wish someone a Happy Birthday!!!  Over at  the birthdaysundaes.blogspot they are running a challenge!!!
The goal of Birthday Sundaes is to build up those birthday card stashes!  Their rules are easy...

Any birthday card entries must have 'birthday wording' somewhere on your card front.

(Ex: Happy Birthday, Celebrate, Make a Wish, things of that nature)
Each challenge will run Sunday 12:00 AM EST - Saturday 9:00 PM EST.

This week's challenge is to create a birthday card using the following picture as inspiration. We've added a new twist to our inspiration pictures this term and will require one visible element from the picture. So your birthday cards must have a SNOWMAN on it.

Isn't that the cutest Picture you ever seen!!!  Those little snowman look good enough to eat!!!

This is what I came up with after much trial and error!!!

Well i took out an older cartridge to design my card..."Doodlecharms"  and married it with my Imagine using the paper cartridge" Mr. Frosty"  to get the right papers I had in mind .
Used some embellishment and of course a little glitter and layer after layer of coordinating paper.  My card is a 5" square card and i was able to use  my Imagine to print the background paper and different cuts  to size for this winter birthday card!!  A special thanks to the design team for not only challenging me but inspiring me to do more and think outside of the box!!!!

In Honor of Squirrel Appreciation Day

I really need some challenges to get my mojo going!!!  So they have one going on over at Die Cuttin Divas in Honor of Squirrel Appreciation Day!!!  To cute!!  Great bunch of cards made to give you plenty of inspiration.  Well when I think of these little critters I always think of Create A Critter cartridge.  I made a shape card in the craftroom with the tree from this cartridge but hid the leaves on the tree because I wanted this to be a valentine tree and put hearts on it, which i punched out of various scraps I had.  A ittle doodling on the tree, some embossing on the trunk and a few bows from bakers twine and lets not forget some bling. This card will fit in a square envelope because I mostly hand deliver my valentines so no worry about postage.  I little squirrel is cut at 2.5 in layers and pop dotted it on the front.

Now I usually dont do the insides of my cards but I decide this needed decorated a little and a sentiment inside so I used some more pattern paper and the sentiment is from a dollar stamp I purchased at M's.

Oh and i also decided to do the back!!!  One valentine complete and a special thankyou to Die Cuttin Divas for inspiring me to make this card!!

Passwords..........Never can remember!!!

I dont know about anyone else but I can never remember my passwords or usernames for all the the different website.  So when my new Cinch 2 arrived I decided the first thing I would make would be a Password notebook.  Of course I had to spruce it up a little and add a few embellishments so that I could find it here by my computer!!!  I made the inside sheets up with microsoft word and printed on my computer on cardstock paper.  I know I will be making more of these things up because It was so easy and fun to do!!!

One of many birthday cards……

Seems like there are a slew of birthday this month and I have really fallen behind on making up some cards.  I needed some more feminine cards in my stash and a little more traditional than I usually make!!!  I see hundreds of beautiful cards and try to up my creativity by combining different things I see.  Such inspiration out there    Not one of my best but I consider every card a learning experience!!!!

What do you do when you cant sleep????

Well that will teach me.... was in bed reading last night and I fell asleep way to early!!!!  The only problem was at about 2:30 in the morning I woke up bright eyed and bushy tailed!!!!  So as not to disturb my hubby I went into my room and worked on a card.  I really wanted to make a font card and you wouldn't believe all the fonts I have let alone the ones I have carts for!!!  I bought a package of sticky Alphas called Sparkle Alpha Stax for 3.00 that have 15ea adhesive letters """390 letters" per pkg!!!  Of course I had to doodle them up a little!!!
Then I did a little stamping and embossing but I must of been a little dizzy because my stamping went up hill on the happy happy happy happy one!!!!

I used Birthday Bash's elephant and welded a hat from the dog cut to make him more party like.  Of course I couldn't find the right shade of paper with polka dots so I had to stamp it after it was cut out!!!
Inked with black soot one of my favorites for inking!!

Fiskar Border punch was used when I made all the layers for the background!!

And the finished product

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at my craziness in the middle of the night!!!!

Is anybody smashing????

Ok for new years this year i decided to make a smash book of my own!!!!  Is anybody else smashing????  I thought this was a cool idea for somebody like me that is never organized to put some thoughts try some new techniques and see what I come up with.  The cool thing about this is that you dont have to go in order.  Just down my alley.   This is the first page i made in my hand made journal that i made using some of the many paper pads I have!!!!  This page i did my own background page and a little something i downloaded via pininterest!!!!!  Lots of words of wisdom on that site!!!!!   I hope to keep this handy and try to work on it as often as possible.  Lets see how long it takes me, anyone want to guess how long it will take me to fill up????

I would love to hear from anyone else who is smashing.....  you never know i might just add some more on to this page at a later time........ no right no wrong!!!!

**Winter Fun***

Well Christmas is over and I guess I should be downstairs taking down the tree but of course I have been up in my room creating!!!  Seems like forever since I was able to scrap and post and I know some would think that I gave it up but with the busy season and the hustle and bustle of the holidays I didn't get to do all that I love to do!!!  I was visiting some of my favorite challenge sites to get a little inspiration to start back up again!!!  My Craft Spot  Monday Challenge #39 - Winter Wonderland  is the Challenge this week.  This site always has so much inspiration and wonderful things to purchase for your stash and use!!!  You had to use glitter and man do I have glitter...  I made two cards up but only submitted one!!!

My Craft Spot Entry
I have always loved winter frolic cart since I bought it last year but haven't had much time to play with it!!  And when I saw this cut it brought back memories of being a little girl and going outside with my sister after a big snow and making snow angels in the snow!!!!  Using my imagine I was able to match up my papers and also use the phrase cut that cut like butter on my imagine!!!
Bitten By the Bug inspired (skates)
The new thing about these cards are that I designed them in the CRAFT ROOM and was able to print and cut them with my Imagine!!!  So excited to finally be able to do this with out tearing my hair out!!!!

I also used some clear acetate and stamped the black part of the sentiment with Stazon ink so that I could still have the beautiful glitter paper show thru and get a pretty clear stamp image!!!  I was in such a glittery mode that the stickles came out too!!!

Hopefully this will be the first of many cards I will be able to make in the coming weeks!!  Thanks for stopping by!!!!
